Clinvet Oral Solution is a Clindamycin antibiotic administered to pets for the treatment of various bacterial infections caused by streptococci, staphylococci, and pneumococci. It operates by inhibiting the production of proteins that bacteria require for survival, thereby hindering bacterial growth and eliminating existing bacteria. Clinvet Oral Solution is ineffective against viral infections such as influenza or the common cold.

 

Always adhere to the instructions provided by your veterinarian. Prior to using Clinvet Oral Solution, shake the bottle thoroughly. Clinvet is typically given every 6 hours in doses ranging from 150mg to 300mg. In more serious cases, doses of 300mg to 600mg may be required. Always complete the entire course of treatment, even if the infection appears to have resolved.

 

Side Effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

 

Certain other medications may interact with Clinvet Oral Solution. Always notify your veterinarian about any additional medications or supplements your pet is receiving. Specific medications that may interfere include muscle relaxants such as succinylcholine and vecuronium.
